Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of recruiting
  • Directs the pre-employment process of reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and administration of new hire orientation
  • Oversees day to day employee relations, resolving conflicts in an efficient and effective manner while maintaining strict confidentiality of privileged information
  • Facilitates post-employment processes
  • Assist in coordinating and conducting annual and semi-annual employee reviews
  • Administers and coordinates employee life, health, disability, unemployment and retirement benefits
  • Assists with weekly and bi-weekly payroll
  • Administers random quarterly drug testing
  • Coordinates monthly safety meetings
  • Processes all worker’s compensation claims
  • Understands and complies with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Prepares, maintains, and implements the employee handbook

Qualifications

  • Associates and/or Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Experience administrating employee benefit plans
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal skills essential
  • Superior verbal and written skills
  • Some travel required
