Scheels Addition
This project was a 3-level addition consisting of a pile cap and grade beam poured foundation with precast walls and hollow core above supported by helical piers below. PKG’s scope of work for this project was the deep foundation and structure excavation. The structure is supported by (40) 100-kip 5.5” concrete filled helical piers installed to a depth 80’ and a torque of 47,000 ft-lbs. Site access was a challenge on this project as well as working next to an existing structure.
