Project Spotlight

The WEB Water Treatment Plant Improvements project, which started in April of 2022 included construction of a new 1.5 MG raw water regulating tank, expansion of the existing treatment facilities to approximately 17-MGD by adding two additional filters sized at 6 MGD, rehabilitation of the existing filters from 1984 and 1987 including new underdrains, media, and an air scour system. Also included as part of this project are a new 500,000-gallon Clearwell, replacing two high service pumps, adding a fifth new high service pump and a new 150,000-gallon washwater recover basin. Throughout the project PKG completed multiple plant shutdowns and critical tie-ins to existing service. PKG completed the project with less than 1% in contract changes, allowing the owner the opportunity to add back in alternates scopes of work that were not originally accepted as part of the original contract.
