Water Reclamation Facility – South Plant Improvements Phase II
Major expansion is underway at the Rapid City Water Reclamation Facility to increase capacity to the South Plant operations. PKG Contracting was the successful low bidder for this project in April of 2024. The project includes construction of a new 230’ x 75’ Aeration Basin, two new 120’ diameter Clarifiers, new Solids Dewatering Building, new Electrical Building, new RAS/WAS Pump Building, and new Solids Storage Tank.

WEB Water Treatment Plant Improvements
The WEB Water Treatment Plant Improvements project, which began in April 2022, included major upgrades such as a new 1.5 MG raw water tank, expansion of treatment capacity to 17 MGD, and rehab of existing filters from the 1980s. Additional improvements included a new 500,000-gallon Clearwell, upgraded and new high service pumps, and a 150,000-gallon washwater recovery basin.

Wastewater Treatment Facility – Phase I and Phase II Improvements
PKG’s experience at the Fargo Wastewater Treatment Facility dates all the way back to 1999! Most recently, our team has been working on a three-phased project to make major improvements and increase capacity. The first phase starting in 2015 brought major mechanical upgrades to the existing facility. PKG was awarded Phase IIA in 2018, which involved additional mechanical improvements to prepare the facility for the most recent expansion. PKG was the successful low bidder on Phase IIB in early 2020. This expansion is the largest of the three phases and is the largest project to date for PKG.
